What Works to Promote Educational Success for Youth in the Juvenile Justice System
Hosted by the National Reentry Resource Center, presenters in this webinar discuss key strategies for providing high-quality education for youth in confinement, and strategies for helping youth to successfully transition from confinement to schools in their community. School leaders, reentry coordinators, parole staff, juvenile correctional agency staff, and other stakeholders will find it useful.
Additionally, presenters discuss the most recent research on how to reduce recidivism and improve educational outcomes for youth in the juvenile justice system, and will provide practical examples of how education and juvenile justice systems have worked together to achieve these goals.
Content in this webinar draws upon two extensive reports recently published by the CSG Justice Center: The School Discipline Consensus Report and Core Principles for Reducing Recidivism and Improving Other Outcomes for Youth in the Juvenile Justice System.
